Due to a fire in an apartment complex in Paris, at least seven people were killed in the night from Monday to Tuesday. Another thirty others were injured, one of whom is in a critical condition reports the fire brigade.
The fire burst out in an eight-story building due to a still unknown cause. The building and some neighbouring buildings at la rue Erlanger in the west of the French capital have been vacated. Some citizens had to be rescued from the roof.
According to French media, about two hundred firefighters are busy getting the fire under control. There would also be three firefighters among the wounded. “The balance can not yet be made up, because the fire is still raging on the seventh and eighth floor,” said a fire service spokesperson at around 5.00 am.
