Israel’s prime minister raises hope for peace in the Middle East. He praised efforts by U.S. President Donald Trump. However, the Palestinians categorically reject this.
U.S. President Donald Trump’s Middle East Peace Plan has raised high expectations in Israel. “Such an opportunity only occurs once in history and should not be missed,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He was confident that Israel was facing a “historic moment”.
Israeli opposition leader Benny Gantz was also optimistic. The U.S. peace plan was a “milestone”, Gantz praised. The plan could allow various actors in the Middle East to “finally make a historic deal”.
Trump plans to release his long-awaited Middle East peace plan in Washington on Tuesday. Immediately afterwards, he wants to receive Netanyahu in the White House. The U.S. President also invited Gantz to Washington, a meeting of the two is scheduled for Monday, according to the Israeli opposition leader.
