Facebook will make it possible for users to stop seeing political advertisements in their news overview.
That writes CEO Mark Zuckerberg in an opinion piece in the American newspaper USA Today. He also announced that US users of Facebook and Instagram would be urged to vote in the presidential election.
Recently, it must be noticed about the Facebook posts of US President Donald Trump specifically. His messages, according to critics, including many Facebook employees, regularly did not comply with all kinds of guidelines from Facebook, such as calling for violence and discrimination against population groups.
The posts remained, however, because Zuckerberg believes that the voices of politicians should be heard. “Everyone wants politicians to be held responsible for what they say. But that only works if people can also see what they are saying.”
