Britain is the most corona-affected

The government also decides to wear a mask for business

Britain is the most corona-affected country in Europe. Now the government has also made a retail mask requirement for England.
For fear of the second wave of infection, a mask requirement will be introduced in shops in England from July 24. This was announced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s office. Anyone who violates this can expect fines of up to 100 pounds.

The government in the UK had long struggled with this decision. In the United Kingdom, individual parts of the country decide on their protective measures to contain the corona pandemic. The UK government is only responsible for Corona measures in England.

In the rest of Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, the measures are taken by the regional governments there. So far, the obligation to wear mouth-nose protection was only available in England for public transport – but this too was only introduced on June 15.
