Microsoft had already announced that support for Windows 7 will expire in 2020, but will now actively warn users of the operating system.
A new update for Windows 7 includes a warning screen that is displayed to all users when the computer is started. In the message, you can read that after ten years the support of Windows 7 will end on January 14, 2020.
The end of the support means that no updates will be made from that moment. Security leaks are no longer being repaired, and that entails major safety risks.
Also, users can no longer rely on Microsoft for technical problems. Anyone who still uses Windows 7 is advised to switch to Windows 10.
